I can't believe I'm actually going to turn 34 years old and be 6 years away from the big 4-0.

April 3rd will come and go for me. I'll probably get a chance to hang out with my friends at a nice restaurant and receive lots of goodies. That day will come and go.

But you know what? I want it to mean more than that.

I want my birthday to be a source of life for others.

That is why I am choosing to donate my 34th birthday to charity:water. Last year, you and I were able to raise enough money to give 66 people access to clean drinking water.

This year, I'm pushing the envelope. There are too many people dying because they lack clean water, a privilege we live with day in and day out without even thinking about it. I want us to give 250 people the chance to access clean drinking water.

I'm asking for $34 or any amount you can think of from everyone I know or don't know - and EVERY penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, EVERY dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.

In the next 65 days, my goal is to raise $5000!!!!

I believe we can do this.
