On October 17th I will be 27 years old. Sadly, there are many people in the world who will never live as long as I have because they lack the one thing that most of us take for granted…clean drinking water.

I want to help.
I’m giving up my birthday.

Here are the facts:
$20 means one person can get clean water for 20 years.
$250 means two families of six can get clean water.
$5,000 means clean water for a community of 250.

Don’t give me a gift for my birthday, just give clean water to somebody who doesn’t have it. My goal is to raise enough money to dig a well. We can do this!

You know you want to help. And you know other people who want to help. So spread the word and lets make this happen!

I need you to partner with me by pulling out your visa card (yes, the one you use regularly to buy $30 meals and $40 tanks of gas) and gift a small portion of your weekly spending to help see this dream come true!

Will you help me dig a well in a village to provide clean water for more than 250 people for 20 years?

Since I am turning 27 on Oct 17th I have decided to ask you to donate at least $27 to this cause. Imagine your child, nephew, niece, or even neighbor dying because they didn't have clean water to drink. Just to get things going, I am going to go ahead and donate $270. If you would like to match my $270, please do :)

But I am asking EVERYONE to at least consider giving $20 for this cause. Your $20 will give one person clean water for 20 years.

Just a note: I don’t see any of this money, it all goes directly to charitywater.org. Additionally, they don’t use any of the money to pay staff (staff raise their own funds). ALL of your donation goes directly to digging a well in a village in need of clean water.
