Facing Thirst: Images of the
Global Water Crisis and Solutions. A photographic tour of the work of charity: water bringing clean and safe water to developing nations. Nov 14 - 16, 2009 Opening Reception: Saturday, Nov 14 6-8 PM Gallery House 320 S. California Ave Palo Alto, CA 94306 TOTAL RAISED (online, cash & checks): $10,122. Photos from: exhibit and opening reception. One billion people on the planet don't have access to clean drinking water. That's one in six of us. We can do something about it. From November 14-16, a photographic exhibit and silent auction was on display at Gallery House (Palo Alto, CA) benefiting charity: water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Over 25+ pieces of donated local artwork and items from local Palo Alto businesses were gifted to a silent auction. 100% of auction proceeds and public donations went directly to fund water projects. Simple, cost effective solutions exist. Make a difference today through a donation. Just $20 provides clean water to one person for 20 years!
