In Alaska Zipline 's words...

We are excited to announce the first ever Juneau Water Fest, a fundraiser to help us raise $5000 to build a well in a poor village that will provide drinking water for 250 people.

The fundraiser will be held August 13th from 7pm â?? 10pm at DIPAC and will include a silent auction.

Living in Southeast Alaska, it is sometimes easy to forget that clean water is a resource that one billion people in this world struggle to have access to. â??Charity: Water,â?? the charity that will be receiving the donation, is an organization whose sole purpose is to bring clean water to communities who need it. Learning about this organization was so exciting for us that we pledged to raise $5000 so that â??Charity: Waterâ?? can build a well for a community in need.

The Juneau Water Fest will be a party where the community can gather, appreciate our most abundant resource, and give what we can to help a community less fortunate than ours. DIPAC has generously donated the space for this event, where we will be offering music, food, beverages (including a generous donation from the Alaskan Brewing Company) , and most importantly, holding a silent auction. To follow in the footsteps of â??Charity: Water,â?? everything we raise as a result of the Juneau Water Fest will be donated to build a well for a community that needs one.
